Tennessee Youth Baseball Association
There have been questions raised about a specific bat, the Easton Stealth. After researching this I have found out the following:
1. This bat has been or is in the process of being banned by most major sanctioning bodies including Dizzy Dean, USSSA, Pony, Little League, Dixie Youth, TSSAA, and the NCAA due to safety issues.
2. Easton is aware that there is a problem and is now labeling these bats to say they are not to be used with regular baseballs, only safety balls like the RIF ball. This bat is also not recommended for use in temperatures under 65 degrees. Easton is in the process of redesigning the bat.
3. Coaches need to be aware that these bats are available at discount prices because there is a safety issue involved and companies are trying to unload them. The bat develops cracks after a short period of use (it is referred to as a 6 month bat).

We would like to welcome the S.E.S.A. to our organization! The S.E.S.A. will be hosting tournaments for all ages in the competitive division. All age groups will contend in there tournaments and proceed to a grand finale at the end as well as T.Y.B.A. 2013 State Tournament. UMPIRE INFORMATION!!! CHECK THE CALENDAR FOR THE DATES OF THE MEETINGS FOR THE SANCTIONING OF UMPIRES FOR THE 2013 SEASON. The fee is $30.00 and be prepared to pay at the meeting. You will receive an Umpire Manual, Shirt and Cap, and Insurance & Sanction Card. You must attend one Instructional Training Clinic -- prior to the seasonal start in order to be eligible to umpire in any TYBA Sanaction Leagues or Tournaments.

SESA Championship Series. SESA in cooperation with TYBA is excited to offer a competitive baseball tournament series for 2013. Teams that sanction with SESA will receive FREE sanctioning with TYBA. Likewise, a team that sanctions with TYBA receives Free sanctioning with SESA. The tournament season will run from April thru July of 2013. The series will consist of 5 tournaments.
